Wanted to apologize for vanishing on the blog lately. Several people have hit me up on Twitter asking if there will be an mxpw vs. Frea going on about the final two episodes, and I'm happy to say that not only will there be one, there will be two.

Fringe Benefits Incorporated - 4.01 - Neither Here Nor There

So every week during the Fringe season, I make it a point to arrive late so that I can hear Old Darth's teeth click together right before we launch our epic podcast for the night. We had some technical difficulties, a sugar-high Frea, a new term coined, and a blast this week.  If you liked the people, check out Jan and Old Darth (or mxpw and me) on Twitter!

Anticipation...Building...

It's almost here! It's almost here! It's almost here!!!

September 23rd is a HUGE day! Ginormous. Monstrous. Mondonormous, which I think is a word I once used to describe the wonderful mxpw. It also describes September 23rd just as well!

Things happening on September 23rd:

1) I may or may not become an honorary aunt (I'm most excited about that one, despite the exclamation points you are about to see)
2) The Killer Elite!!!!!
3) FRINGE!!!!!!!!

In honor of the show coming back, mxpw and I joined up with Old Darth of ODonTV and Jan from ChuckTV.net for our usual Fringe Benefits Incorporate podcast.

Annnnnd you can listen after the break! We talk about Jan's experience at Comic Con, our thoughts on S3, our expectations for S4. There's spoilers up to Season Three for those newbies among us, but I promise, we're pretty entertaining.

Chuck's Stable of Hos vs. Castle Inanity: Pushin' and Mixin'

If you've been following me on Twitter, you've probably heard about my newfound friendship with the awesome Yokaputo.  Heck, I think I even proposed to her earlier today, but we're still trying to figure out if I'm Dan or Blair or Chuck (and that's two shows referenced there, for the record).  But anyway, there's a story going on here, and I'm going to get out the puppets to tell this.

So every week, Maximus and myself head over to enemy territory hang out with Old Darth and HappyDayz23 of ChuckTV because we think they're the bomb diggity. And we do this crazy thing called Podcasting.

OD tells me it's what all the cool kids are doing these days.

You Like Me, You Really, Really Like Me!

So there are a lot of great Chuck websites out there: ChuckThis, provider of optimism and cheer every episode (we provide the sarcastic flipside to their commentary, I think, and it works out well for both of us),   the Google Group (Hi, Bill!), some fanfiction blogs and Liz James's fun Articulate Shnook.  I got my start reading on ChuckTV.net, which led me to Fedak and Schwartz defending Mask to Sepinwall, which led me to a link to JMG's fanfiction, which led me to writing Fates.  If you followed that flow chart well, you may need to get your head checked, but even so, all of that is why I'm super-stoked that Fates is the focus of an article on ChuckTV.net.

No, seriously, it is!

Premiere Week Day 1!

So in a week, there will be a new episode of Chuck.

This is a little bit exciting to me.  I'm not going to lie.  I've rallied the members of the Cabal, stocked up on Dr. Pepper (they had a sale at the local gas station), locked everybody but the cranky sensei dog out of my writing study, and have decided to devote this week to the thing that is most awesome in all of our lives:

So I am officially declaring it Interview Wednesday here at Castle Inanity.  Not only do you get the fabulous episode of the Scoop below with the one and only Wepdiggy (no, seriously, I googled him and there really is only one Wepdiggy on the planet earth), but I've got the second installment from the series of OldDarth interviews. He promised me a pony if I would chat with him for awhile, but I think it's a trick pony, and that's a really bad pun.

Anyway, in this edition of OldDarth and Frea Shoot the Sh--Breeze, the topic is something I think a couple of you might find interesting. That's right, the migrating habits of the African Swallow. Because, you know, the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow is that--

Okay, let's see if this works.  Here's what happened.  OldDarth aka Lou aka OD aka my favorite Canadian who is not my friend Matt or Nathan Fillion or Tanya Huff or Stana Katic--well, back when this sentence had a point, OD and I sat down and had a chat about a whole bunch of things, like that tiny little story I'm writing, and how I feel about Chuck and the like.  And OD was kind enough to record it.

Thing about the interview is, it's over an hour long, which means that's kind of a long time to sit down and listen to lil old me and just the perfect amount of time to listen to OD, so he then kindly broke it up into three very fun chunks.  So here it is, part 1 of the interview, which is about 20 minutes in length.  We talk about some really fun things, like, uh, me.

Oh, yeah, and Chuck.  We talk about him, too.  Part 2, which is about What Fates Impose, will come out either Wednesday or Thursday, and then Part 3 will come out next weekend sometime!
