Goodies!!!

Nope, sorry, not the next chapter of What Fates Impose already.  Sorry, but don't click out of the window, good things lay ahead, I promise!  A couple of new gifts on the downloads page, for one thing!

Click the link for more details!

So I'm good friends with Monsieur Aardvark (yes, THAT Monsieur Aardvark, who is suddenly French) and he's a big fan of the brilliant sharpasamarble.  As is only proper, I feel.  Sharp is one of the first authors I read when I stumbled into the world of Chuckfic, and he's a great writer, very good at building his own world and sticking to it consistently.  A while back, Aardie asked me to make him some ebooks of Sharp's rather epic "Normal" series, and the other day, I obliged him.  Just on a one-to-one basis because I tend to try and ask the author for permission before I convert their books to ebooks.

Aardie, however, went one better and got in touch with Sharp for me, asking for permission to post the books I made on the blog, and Sharp agreed to let me!  Yay, awesome, right?

So you can find those here!

And then I went and made some Save Chuck wallpapers the other day for no reason in particular, and I also made those wallpaper size for anybody interested.  Those are here.

Just a note — if you have a favorite story that you want made into an ebook, it's really easy to convince me to convert books over.  Here's what you do:
  1. Contact that author, get their permission.

  2. Send a word doc to my email containing the entire story, with chapters clearly marked (preferably "heading 2" format in MS Word, but as long as each chapter starts with "Chapter #," I can work with that).  I can read doc, docx, rtf, htm, txt files, all of it.

Scene separators should be likewise marked with a string of characters like "???" or "XXXX."  If you use the horizontal line that ff.net sometimes uses to mark different scenes, that's actually the biggest pain because I can't find all and replace those.  So using the same string of characters over and over makes things a lot easier.

  3. Compliment any story written by any CIA author, bat your eyes real nice, and ask nicely.

Ta-daaaaa!

Hope your Wednesday is going well!!!

Toodles,
Frea

  2. The ePub download link on mediafire for Chuck vs. the Scavenger Hunt is broken. The Kindle and PDF links appear to be ok.

    Thanks for doing these conversions.

These wallpapers are great Frea. Any chance I could get the iPhone version of the running man without the "Save Chuck" text?

  4. Jeff, I just tested the link in Chrome and Safari (and I can boot up my PC and test in IE, if you like, but I'm lazy. :) ) and it seems to have downloaded okay for me. Which browser are you using?

And Neil, check your email. :)

Crumby, Jeff, you're welcome, as ever. :-P

  5. I was using Firefox for Android and Firefox 4. However it appears to be fixed now. My guess is it was a temporary problem on mediafire. Thanks.

  6. Hey, Frea, thanks for taking the time to put up my stories! Your site rocks.

To everyone else, I hope you enjoy the stories, and would appreciate people dropping me a line and letting me know what they think. My FF.net profile is linked.

(To any new readers, please be patient with "Chuck vs Auld Lang Syne". It was my first real writing in about ten years, and there are some rough edges until I get my legs back under me.)

    Thanks!
