Writer's Block

Unfortunately, it happens, and it's happening to me right now.  I don't know when the next chapter of What Fates Impose will be ready.  Your patience is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Frea

OK, thanks for the update. Not the best moment for this though :-(.

Thank you very much for letting us know. Perhaps you can use this break in Fates updates to supply even more encouragement to MXPW to get on the ball and update DA and AP vs. the Nine Months? Or Help him get Bank Job updated. ;) We all still love you though Frea. Thanks again for the hours of entertainment you have provided with your wonderful yarns!

  3. Hey, JS Fan. :) Perhaps I'll mention it, but unfortunately, it's fanfiction and sometimes it just can't take top priority. With classes starting and some other stuff, I'm going to try and encourage the other CIAuthors to post a bit more, but I think posting on the blog might take a sharp decline for a bit, as well.

But hey, new Chuck on Monday, and I hear ninjaVanish is plugging happily away.

Sorry the timing sucks, Anonymous. Life happens.

  4. Thanks for the heads up. After writing so much already, some recharge time is more than understandable.

Good luck with school and the other stuff!

    Cheers!

  5. Well I guess even superhuman's can experience - Dah, Dah, Duuuh! - The January Slump! It hits a lot of us right around the middle of the first month of the year and well, we are in the middle of the month. For me it hits when I can't see the forrest for the trees. That's when it's time to take a step back and take a look around.

Take the time to recharge, regroup and reawaken. Hopefully you aren't even reading this until Monday! We'll be here when you and if you need us!

  6. While your not writing how about raising the stakes in the Twist of Fate hostage situation?

It might be time for drastic measures........

  7. Ouch. You have my sympathy, Frea. I hate it when that happens. Good luck balancing class work and your writing. I know just how nerve-wracking that can be.

That's really too bad, the writer's block. But you have been posting consistently for such a long time, I think it was only a matter of time.

Maybe you can take JS Fan and John Clark's advice and take some time off to use your considerable influence to put the pressure on mxpw and Chris to update their stories (Is Chris really holding his chapter hostage or was JohnClark just being overly dramatic? lol.)

  9. Frea said she's holding the latest chapter of Twist of Fate hostage to motivate Chris. As I said before I think its time to up the stakes.

Oh, so that's what's happening!?!? Well, gee, sounds a bit harsh to me. Especially since the ones suffering the most are the readers, not the author.

I hope that Chris frees us soon from our misery! I'm tired of being disappointed every time I check for another update and don't find one.

  11. Chris and mxpw have lives. I'm not going to put pressure on them to do the same thing I'm currently taking a break from, and they do check the comments here, so you could just address them directly.

    Thanks,
    Frea

I know, I know. This is me: Whine whine whine complain complain complain. <--Which is actually what I had intended to place in my last post to give it a more lighter, joking tone at the end. Somehow it didn't make it into my post, which is unsurprising since yesterday was such a Murphy's Law day for me.

I didn't actually think that anyone was holding anything hostage from anyone. And I certainly didn't intend to be rude or ungrateful or talk about anyone behind their back. So, sorry Frea and Chris. As a fic writer and a beta, I should have known better and been a little more careful about what I said.

No pressure to post until you are fully ready, Mr. Chris. Enjoy tonight's eppie. May it inspire you and all the other amazing writers in the Chuck fandom.

  13. Frea why would I want to address him directly if I'm plotting to abduct his prized teddy bear or pet goldfish? I mean really that's hostage taking 101.

  14. Sent my tweet over to ya way earlier, but don't worry about it, Frea. Writers just need time to clear their minds, and think of something other than that particular subject that they're writing about. It's awesome that you've apologized about it.. but don't feel as if you have to. You're doing all of this for us as readers to enjoy, and doing it for free. Just take your time.. sit back, read some books, and relax. :D
