Just a head's up: 31 August is the last day to vote in the poll over there, deciding what fic I write mxpw for his birthday! We've got nearly 800 votes as I write this...who knows what will happen if we break 900...
Hayloft = 382 votes; Bungalow = 394 votes (at he time of writing this comment)
Hayloft Scene vs the Coup D'Etat
The Hayloft gang are shocked to find that their seemingly unassailable lead of over 30 votes has now been run down and the Bungalow gang are now leading by 16 votes ( and increasing by the minute). What will happen as the last day of voting progresses. Tune in to find out. ;) ;)
These two alone have taken the poll well over 1000 votes. IMHO, neither scene deserves to lose out, so Frea are you willing to write both? Please say yes.
It's an Internet poll. Internet polls and contests are normally used for Marketing and to generate traffic. Does anyone really believe the results? (See E!Online polls as an example. The who's getting married countdown was even worse. No one thought it was Chuck and Sarah, but since a lot of Chuck fans have twitter accounts, it was the last show eliminated).
Of course, it's possible to vote multiple times by using Firefox and IE, using multiple computers or even cell phones, and by clearing cache/cookie history. As the Chicago saying goes, vote early and vote often.

Wow the votes are going crazy! Go Bungalow! Frea the 900 votes might just happen...
ReplyDelete@Crumby - and you were suspecting that a Hayloft gang was out there.
ReplyDelete@Frea - if 900 votes are polled - will you write both the scenes?
Holy crud!! I wandered away to write and I came back and there's nearly 100 votes up on the poll?! And where are these Bungalow people coming from?!?!
ReplyDeleteum i dont know if it made a difference, but i made a mention of it on the ChuckThis blog.
ReplyDeleteThis is apropos of nothing, but 14.7%! Oh yeah!
ReplyDeleteAlso, everybody vote for Mystery Meat.
16 votes away from 900... and only 8 votes separating Bungalow from Hayloft.
ReplyDeleteHow does those 14.7% work? Did you stop in the middle of a word? :)
Mystery Meat! Why does nobody listen to me? You should all vote for that.
ReplyDeleteAnd I can't tell you that, Crumby. An artist never divulges it's sec-
:P
No way, the Hayloft is winning again! We'll need 1000 votes!
ReplyDeleteHey, everybody, vote! Frea has told me that if the poll gets over 1000 votes, she might be willing to write two stories.
ReplyDeleteSo make like the Democratic Party and vote early and often!
Okay current tally
ReplyDeleteHayloft - 507 votes; Bungalow - 509 votes

I'm willing to write both. Didn't say I'm going to.
ReplyDelete:)
With the poll being well over a thousand (seriously, did somebody rig it?), I will definitely live up to my promise to mxpw to write two scenes.
Thanks for voting, everybody!
fantastic news is fantastic. :) Thanks Frea. :D
ReplyDeleteAre you being vague by saying "two stories" on purpose or is it just me?
ReplyDeleteLA
LA, I have no idea what you might be talking about. Double-talk? Moi? I'm hurt.
ReplyDelete:)
For anyone who might see this, I want Bungalow to win. So vote for that, please?
ReplyDelete:( the hayloft gang won! Almost 1400 votes... impressive!
ReplyDeleteI dont understand it. They won, but I dont know anyone who said they wanted the hayloft to win.

And keep in mind that I'm insanely competitive, and it's easy to lure me into bets. Just ask mxpw sometime. We're keeping a list of our ongoing bets.
